Pandora’s Box

She loved him with all her heart. She left nothing for herself. She gave him every little fragment, every little piece but it never seemed enough. He was never satisfied. He looked for love elsewhere not realizing that she has tortured herself for the love of him. She endured all the pain thrown her way. She felt unloved and alone but she never allowed anybody to see past her fake smile. She held her head high despite all the humiliation. She was mortified but still, she never gave up. She was a strong woman. She was a stubborn one. She was kind but there was a very cold and unforgiving part of her hidden beneath. She placed that cruel and vindictive version of her under lock and key for she didn’t like it, but she won’t hesitate to unleash it when things get worse and when all her defense walls crumble down.

She is terrified because she knows that if that tiny crack shatters, hell will break loose and the world will witness how she could turn her love to hatred.

  1. A deep complex character, your heroine. And she woudl unleash all her pent up emotions and frustrations when that crack shatters. The guy would not know what hit him. Powerful description of the psyche of a rejected woman.
