I crave to uncover the mysteries behind your smile.
It had a strange effect on me.
I was invoked and aroused.
I was left wondering,
And wanting more.
You left with a glance,
Giving me the gift of just a glimpse of your face.
She leaned back on her recliner as she stretched her sun-kissed legs. Her torn and faded denim shorts revealed her bare skin. The glass of iced coffee had crystal vapors that slowly trickled, falling down her supple flesh. The heat of the sun and the cold beads of water collided, they ignited a certain sensation that made her feel alive. It was a lovely day, after all. She closed her eyes and traveled to the only place where he existed, in her locked up fantasia. Phantasm was such a lovely thing that she has acquainted herself with. He was her paradise on earth. He was the minute fantasy that could light up her entire world, her entire universe.
He will always be the only one.
He woke up in the middle of the night as beads of sweat trickled down his forehead. He was tossing and turning. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get back to sleep. He forced his tired and weary body to get up. He walked to the bathroom and splashed water on his face as million thoughts came rushing to his mind. He stared at the mirror for a while without noticing that he left the faucet open, cold water was rushing down the sink. He snapped back to reality.
“Danya. Danya Miller.” He said softly, but his heart was throbbing so fast. He turned off the light and went back to his room. Despite the weariness he felt, he sat on his bed and grabbed his laptop. He logged on to Facebook, a popular social networking site. He typed her name on the search box and saw her face. After such a long time, he saw her again. He checked her profile, saw the green button which means she was online too.
He felt a slight gush of ambivalence. His thoughts were battling. Should he send her a message? He paused for a while and stared at the computer screen before summoning his will to start typing.
“HEY, STILL UP?”
He hesitated to click the send button. He deleted the letters and re-typed them. This time, he clicked the send button. His thoughts wandered then suddenly, he heard a buzz. It was her. It was Danya Miller responding to his message.
HEY YOU. YEP, I’M STILL UP. JUST BROWSING THE NET FOR SOMETHING INTERESTING. 🙂
He was surprised. He didn’t expect her to reply.
SO, SEEN ANYTHING INTERESTING? WOW. IT’S BEEN A WHILE. HOW ARE YOU?
Danya: ETHAN SPARKS. YEAH, I HAVEN’T HEARD FROM YOU FOR SUCH A LONG TIME. I’M DOING GREAT, AND YOU?
Ethan: SAME OLD, SAME OLD. WELL, EXCEPT THAT YOU CROSSED MY MIND SUDDENLY.
Danya: OUT OF THE BLUE?
Ethan: YES, AND I HAVE YET TO KNOW WHY.
Danya: WOW. THAT’S WEIRD, DON’T YOU THINK?
Danya: LOL. I KNOW. ANYWAYS, I HAVE TO GO NOW, WORK’S WAITING.
Ethan: OKAY THEN, I GUESS I’LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THAT GREEN BUTTON TO LIGHT UP AGAIN.
Danya: HAHAH. OKAY. LATER THEN. BYE FOR NOW, ETHAN.
Ethan: LATER, DANYA 🙂
And with that, Ethan Sparks closed his laptop and slumped back to bed. He stayed awake for a few more minutes just staring at the ceiling, thinking why on earth Danya Miller crossed his mind.
*** to be continued…
She waited patiently for nine months, looking forward with a smile on her beautiful face as each day passes by. Every second that goes through the sands of time means getting closer to that moment where she will finally breathe a new life into this world.
And as she lets out a painful shriek, her newborn is welcomed into the world by happy familiar faces. Her heart jumping with immense joy that no one can ever dare fathom and pride that cannot be surpassed, her blood rushing through the tiny veins of her baby, her innocent little angel.
She will be an amazing mommy and her husband will always be by her side, holding her with one hand, and his other hand? It will be for their baby to hold on to.
Today, a new chapter of their lives will unfold and that touch of innocence will change them forever.
I tell you, she will be a great mother, just like her mom, just like their mommy.
HAPPY MOMMY’S DAY TO ALL THE GREAT MOTHERS OUT THERE!
