The strumming of guitar, the melody the piano brings and the familiar beat drowns my heart in nostalgia. I love country music, be it the ballads with melancholic harmony or the dance tunes with catchy rhythms.
I grew up listening toJohn Denver,Dolly Parton, Olivia Newton-John,Alison Krauss,Shania Twain,JewelandLeann Rimes.
Up until now, I still love them.Dixie ChicksandPistol Anniesare my favorites at the moment. They have a way of lightening my mood with their music.
Richard Marx, Blake SheltonandTyler Hiltonare on top of my list too. Their husky voices never fail to soothe my heart.
My blog’s name was even inspired by Pistol Annies Debut Hit,
Not that I’m in love with it, it’s just that this summer has been pretty good to me. I got a new job, which means that I’m back to my old workaholic self. I tried to weigh the pros and cons of my life because I have been ranting for days now, and guess what, I came up with a brilliant theory.I’m still blessed.Okay. Let me retract my statement. It’s not just a theory but a fact.
I have a great job, I’m an incoming senior in law school. I’m a happy kid – what else could I ask for? So yes, life is good. At least to me, it is.
I have this incredibly passionate, gigantic fascination towards the number 14. Well, first off, it is my birth “day”, call me a narcissist but I really don’t care. I am in love with it. It seems to me that lucky things are happening every 14th.
Suddenly, it hit me. – Didn’t I tell you that random things run in my head? Okay, where was I? Oh. Right. 14.
It was on the 14th that I got my new job, mind you it was also on the 14th of June last year that I got my previous, and up to date — best job ever. The pay was really good and the work was easy and fun. Well, for a writer like me, writing is fun. My current work is also good. It’s interesting because I get to write about a lot of things that I don’t even know of, research, so much to say, is crucial.
Keep the blessings coming, dear Lord. I owe these all to you.
